How are China's mobile apps technically banned throughout India?

They are banned as in they are no longer available in the Webstors as the Indian government has banned them from the country.

Webstors and other social media sites when entering a country has to follow the law of the said country and is regulated by the said countries rules and regulations and sanctions regarding the application in question.

Like for example if some particular content in YouTube is not legal in a said country then even if you want to view it the video will not play. As YouTube cannot show you something that is illegal for you to watch and by watching or consuming such content might even lead to jail time for you and breach of trust between YouTube and the Indian government.

Another example would be India’s ban upon porn graphic content. So up till a time the government did not care about the ban and the people were still consuming such content freely but within recent years the government has gone a bit stricter regarding the free use of pornographic content and the Indian network provider's had to oblige and so every such sites and links were no longer available for use within India.

So on the Chinese apps ban the Indian government has banned 50 something Chinese apps from the Indian Webstors and you can nolonger download those apps from the Webstors and also no longer update the apps as long as the stalemate between India and China come to an end the said apps will not be available for the time being.
