Jacob Rees-Mogg making a mockery of British democracy. Is it true?

Yes.

Far right politician Jacob Rees Mogg is a minister in Boris Johnson’s government. His smooth and smothering tones conceal his contempt of UK parliamentary process and democracy. His suits and speech suggest who merely views parliamentary a stage for his political costume drama for his own wealthy indulgence.

Mr Jacob Rees Mogg advocates the UK’s most abrupt and immediate exit from the single market and customs union. He wants fewer new foreign arrivals. His government supports the economic partition of the UK, with the implementation of the Northern Ireland protocol.

In 2013, Mr Rees Mogg dined at event organised by the far right Traditional Britain Group. In 2017, he met far right US political campaigner Steve Bannon. In April 2019, he used social media to distribute a video by the far right Alternative für Deutschland political party.

In Autumn 2019, Mr Rees Mogg wanted to shut down parliament for 5 weeks. At speed, he visited the Queen at Balmoral about this matter, explaining this in a subsequent BBC Radio 4 interview. We now his decision to close parliament is unlawful. Mr Rees Mogg now uses other tactics. His decision to end online voting excludes MPs from voting in parliamentary affairs.

He conceals his far right anti-democratic antics with flowery language, reassuring tones and contempt.

Yes! Jacob Rees-Mogg is an example of the exact opposite of noblesse oblige.

He has the presumed education of a gentleman, from what is considered to be the best school in the land, but (from recent past exemplars, are turning out only greedy self interested, self- aggrandizement and self-enrichment individuals). He behaves like a spoiled lout and should have been soundly whipped over many months. He is the epitome of the despicable wealth-extracting asset speculator, who cares only for himself and his wealth fund family business recently moved to Ireland for tax avoidance purposes, and treats everyone else with contempt, especially those that are unable to defend themselves.

He is intent on ridding this country of even basic human rights and any semblance of democracy. He is: what is essentially leading this country into a very dark environment and a potential period of particularly dire history, if the nation doesn’t wake up soon to what is happening there is no knowing what is to come.
