Why won't "Boycott China mobiles" work in India? - #BoycottChinamobiles

Basically Indian masses always look for best value for money products. Most of the consumer buys phone for less than 20K in India. Companies like Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo have found this thing and have flooded the market with their phones. Once OnePlus was also a sub 20K phone but now it is progressing towards premium phone.

If you pickup the market shares number, you will see that Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme and Vivo are the leading Chinese companies with total of 68% market share in Q4 of 2019. Companies like Samsung, Apple, LG etc have good products but they are much more expensive thus leading to low market share.

Thus India basically needs some alternative to these Chinese companies which, right now, I see we don't have any. So practically it is impossible right now to Boycott these Chinese products.
Government has to take some steps on this and promote local startups and support them. India need to think of raising more startups then only India will be self reliant.

People usually get Chinese mobiles/mobile apps because they are efficient and inexpensive, whereas Indian alternatives are slightly expensive. it is not affordable for a normal Indian middle-class man to replace the Chinese brand with an Indian one all of a sudden. This whole boycott of Chinese products thing will work only if the manufacturing sector in India increases.
