what are the safety measures, that the colleges should be taken to prevent from spreading covid-19 among the students?

There might be millions of law suits arising from this epidemic. The merit of any of these suits will be determined by the negligence exhibited by the institution that is sued. In this sense, a college or a slaughterhouse are no different. If operations were negligent, they get sued.

Nobody should be able to hide behind their intentions. A judgement is made using the information and the decision process. If Tyson Foods screwed up, sue them. If the University of Nebraska behaved poorly, sue them. I see no difference for purposes of compensating an aggrieved person.

Need a new job when this virus settles down? Look into the legal profession. There are a lot of pending cases that need adjudication. Maybe the courts will step up and increase their case load. They will be hiring.

Colleges don’t infect. The best colleges (and businesses) can do is follow guidelines. The issue is will they be forced to follow political guide lines over the best interests of our students, families and citizens.

The other part of the issue is, with the next stimulus action, Mitch McConnel and Republicans are holding up the agreement (it was part of the hold up on the first stage also) - on liability (or non-liability) of companies, corporations (and related definitions) will have to pay insurance liability “policies” if their workers are forced to return to work (too poor to not work , too poor to afford health insurance, cancellation of unemployment payouts if folks don’t return to work or lose your job if you don’t = subsequently get sick and die, payment to families who lost their loved ones and have also lost that income under those “forced” circumstances.

Trump and Republicans want to force campuses to re-open even without safety assurances; businesses to open and students/employees to go back to school/work so the stock $ market will rise. They (schools, businesses et al) jdon’t want to pay out liability $ to mitigate the $ chain resulting in student deaths, cost of labor, much less the loss of human life - you know, that stuff that translates to YOUR death, how it will affect your spouse, Kirsch parents, siblings. BUT more importantly, COSTS someone/many $, insurance policy payouts, lawsuits, et al.

Think domino effect / Ponzi scheme. Those who force the eco to ope vs. those who die as a result? WHO should pay the $ consequences = the unnecessary deaths who have become nothing but a faceless statistic (redundant).

Keep in mind also, the Trump administration told us over and over the pandenemic was nothing - and don’t worry about it. They knew about it and lied. They absolutely had known/ dismissed the security intelligence. Matt Goetz(R) Mocked the Intel and showed up in session in a freakin’ gas mask. David Nunes (R) told folks to go about their everyday lives - go to restaurants!

Trump nor care his administration don’t care about you or me. They care about the $ stock market. Follow. The -IMMEDIATE money/profits. The rest of the detritus (you and me) is nothing more than a statistic

Their families are protected. How about your families and your legacies. The same Congress members who manipulated their stock holdings while we were told there was no problem? No risk?

An antidotes doesn’t even exist. However, I’d be willing to bet members of Congress and their kids and families are being protected.

And now you ask if we should send students back to classes? Our brain trust and our legacies? With no liability to Trump or the Republican Party?

I think you are absolutely asking the wrong question(s). You might want to demand different answers. Unless, of course, this is all OK with you - and in the best interests of your kids and families.

if you don’t vote? It’s a vilote anyway. It says you’re happy with how things are going - and you’re happy to put the lives of Your kids and families in the safety and welfare direction our country is headed.

Legally the high court itself is as much liable as the college if corona infection arises there. Only thing is whether the sanitizing has been done as prescribed and whether number of people in a room are limited to the calculated maximum.
