Who is most affected by the economic crisis caused by the epidemic?
Laborer’s anxiety over COVID-19.
Most laborer’s
who are all daily working and earning money for their daily livelihood, are the
worst affected sections of the society. Another significant impact on the
migrant laborer’s who are all working the various states for their livelihood ,
especially southern state is that , they cannot travel to their native place, don’t
have the sufficient food, cannot pay rent to their rooms, owner does not come
forward to rescue them from sufferings. Both central and state govt deceived
them by not giving enough relief measures to tackle the situation.
The people of India; in fact,
all mankind, except the politicians and very rich are affected.
First realize that the Economic
crisis was already coming. The pandemic has only aggravated it. Those most
affected are the ones who did not listen to the early warnings about the
depression coming. The moneyed lot enchased their investments, driving the
share markets to near crash. Other knowledgeable people bought and stored
consumables, food grains etc., before they became scarce in the market. The
poor who live from daily wages lost the job and the related earnings. Naturally
they are the worst affected. Those who could have acted in time, but did not do
so are victims of their own folly.
The following sector that are
most effected Due to epidemic conditions are as follows-
·
Health sector
·
Pharmacy sector High Demand low supply
·
Education sector all Physical study stopped
·
Hospitality sector hotels closed
·
Travel oriented Country like Indonesia and India
Got effected
·
Food supply chain effects
·
Restaurant business
·
Logistic Gone slow track
·
Construction and infrastructure market
·
Labor market etc
All those who
are dependent on daily income, those who have no regular source of income and
those who have lost the source of income are the most affected. The migrant
workers cannot be said to be affected because the word ‘affect’ is not adequate
to express the sufferings they are undergoing. They have been made to become destitute.
They are the ones who have no house, no money, no food and no sympathy from
their governments.
All poor, daily wagers and
migrant workers not covered by any schemes announced by the government. While
benefits of an economic boom mostly accrue at the top, the pain and losses from
a crisis typically trickle down, with the poor and the most vulnerable in
societies suffering the most. The daily wage worker. And all workers doing
basic jobs like construction workers, workers in hotels and restaurants, shop
sales men (many can lose jobs in a downsizing). Workers in travel and tourism.
Even some class of airline workers.
This epidemic has turned into Pandemic and you must see from Pandemic point of view rather than Epidemic point of view. Pandemic is outbreak of disease in large geographical area affecting high proportion of population. The world is under stress and all the economies are under deep trouble.
All the sections of people are affected by Pandemic may be different percentage. Most affected are those whose livelihood is based on daily wage or work contract.
